Roller blinds and Venetian blinds

Choosing between roller blinds and Venetian blinds

Here at Blinds by Mark, we offer a broad variety of blinds. Two of the most popular and well-known types that we sell are Venetian blinds and roller blinds. But which is the best choice for you? Each type has different advantages, so it’s important to choose wisely. In this blog, we’ll discuss the benefits of these two different styles of blinds, so that you can make an informed decision.

Venetian blinds

Venetian blinds are the most versatile type of blinds available. They are made up of multiple slats which can be pivoted to any angle. As a result, they allow you to control the exact amount of light that passes through them and the angle at which that light enters your home. If you need a fine degree of control over your home’s lighting, you should opt for Venetian blinds. However, it’s worth noting that Venetian blinds cannot be fully raised, meaning that you can’t move the slats out of the way entirely to enjoy an uninterrupted stream of light from your window. Ergo, if it’s important for you to be able to enjoy light from an unobstructed window, they may not be the best option.

Roller blinds

In contrast to Venetian blinds, Roller blinds can be raised completely to allow light to flow into your home unimpeded. They can also be lowered to block it out. However, unlike Venetian blinds, they do not have slats that pivot, meaning that they do not offer a high level of control over the way light enters your home. If you need blinds that can raised completely so you can enjoy full sunlight, roller blinds are the right option for you. However, they may not be ideal if you need more subtle control.

We offer both Venetian blinds and roller blinds at prices you can afford. Check out our range or contact us for more information.
